With your help, we've been able to fund the making and donating of 4,628 masks to local facilities. THAT'S AMAZING!! We've had donations of fabric, elastic, money and of course precious time and sewing skills. It's taken a LOT of hard work in front of our computers, on the phone (thank you so much Kathy Anthony), and at our sewing machines (you stitchers are the best!!). We're truly amazed by our lovely community. So many people have stepped up to the challenge and it truly makes our hearts glow. This is such good work that everyone is doing. We still have masks to sew and we're getting them finished and out to facilities as quickly as we can.

It's a strange time with continuous twists and turns and daily, if not hourly changes. At this time, we are seeing a very obvious shift in demand. We are being asked repeatedly by the public to please sell our masks. We have thought long and hard and we've decided to answer that call. Because we feel as though we will have more of an impact getting masks to civilians, we have decided to close the Go Fund Me at this time. We will be making and selling kits to the public to make your own which will include fabric, elastic and instructions. Once we are finished sewing and distributing the donation masks, we will begin sewing masks to sell complete. DIY kits are already available for purchase in the Cleveland Sewing Co Etsy shop and will be ready to ship by Thursday. We will keep updating with progress of completed masks as well.

Again, we are so proud of our community and we encourage everyone to continue to help those near and dear as well as those you would consider a "stranger". We encourage you all to wear your masks and consider the perspective that you are protecting others by wearing your mask, and anyone you see wearing one, is protecting you.

We love you all so much!
Love,

With your generosity, we've made it past $4,000! The gears are turning, stitchers are stitching and facilities are beginning to receive their masks.

Doesn't that feel amazing?!? We will keep this going as long as we can, and your financial donations are the fuel for this machine. We know, you've probably shared this already, but we've learned that a Go Fund Me campaign is only as good as the number of people it reaches. So we ask you again, please share this post and accompany it with your own loving words.

The larger hospitals have now publicly confirmed the need for fabric masks in this crisis. We can’t do this without your help. We will make and DONATE as many as this campaign can cover. Please share the link again with encouraging words. Together we can do this. We are still adding facilities of all sizes to our list of recipients. Please share the campaign link in my profile. 💥 ...
